Ordering an explanation

My Reflection

We have been learning about the structure and other of writing on explanation.  We had to put the piece of writing in the correct order.  I found this easy because I had a little help from Kaya.  My nest step is to write my own explanation. 

Solving Multiplications Problems With 2 Digit numbers

My Reflection

I have been learning to solve multiplication problems with 2 digit numbers.  I  used place valve to solve this problem. I found this tricky because I had to first work  out 6x57 and that was hard.  My next step is to solve division problems with remainders. 

Classifying Celebrations

Reflection

We have been learning about celebrations.  There are different types of celebrations.  We had to talk about these celebrations and decide what type of celebration they were. I found this easy because it only took 3 mins for me to do it and Mrs Melville said that there is no right or wrong answers.

Bike Skills

This term we have been doing bike skills and its been really FUN!!!

Comparing Celebrations

My Reflection

We have been learning to compare and contrast different celebrations.  My group researched information about Chinese New Year.  Something I found interesting was when we looked at some things about Chinese new year their were some very funny things about Chinese new year.  Next we worked with another group and used a Venn diagram to compare our celebrations. Things that were the same were decorations, special food and friends and family. My next step is to put more detail and information in the Venn diagram.   

Responding to a text

My Reflection

I have been learning to respond to a text using my prior knowledge and experience. We read a story called 'A Birthday Cake for Grandma.' I was able to make a connection in this text when they were talking about birthday cakes and that reminds me of my birthday cakes. I found this tricky because I couldn't really think of what some of the questions were. My next step is to try to think of even better answers.
