Narrative Writing-Fractured fairy tale

My Reflection

I have been learning to write a fractured fairy tale using what I have learned about narrative structures  and features.  My fractured fairy tale was based on Red Riding Hood.  I am most proud of the pixel art because it was really fun and it looks so cool.  My next step is to make my beginning /end better by adding more detail. 

Understanding the purpose of characters in the text

My Reflection

I have been learning to relate to the characters in the text to understand their purpose.  I used a Venn diagram to compare Ivan and Stella in the story The One and only Ivan.  This made me realize the differences between the characters but also what made them simpler.  My next step is to be able to use their information to make inferences about me purpose of the characters.   

3D shapes

My Reflection

W.A.L.T identify and describe 3D shapes using mathematical language.  I found this easy because I knew all the shapes and I just  had to count all the stuff we had to do.  My next step is to learn more 3D shapes.   

Solving 6, 7, 8 times tables using 5 times tables

My Reflection

I have been learning to use 5 times tables to learn my 6,7 and 8 times table.  I found this tricky because I didn't know what to do first but then I knew what to do.  My next step is to learn my times tables off by heart.

Character Description

My Reflection

W.A.L.T  write a character description using adjectives.  I found this picture hard to describe because it looks really weird and funny and its just really hard to describe.  I used my 5 senses to write 5 different sentences about my character.  My next step is to use a simile or metaphors.  

Comparing Fairy Tales

My Reflection

I have been learning to identify common themes in fairy and fractured tales.  We read two narrative called Red Riding Hood and Into The Forest.  A common theme I made from these stories was they both had a grandma. I found this easy because when we read the book I got some great ideas from the book. My next step is to have even better ideas.
